> News & Events Index • 2002 Press Release Atlas Medical Expands Client Base in Third Quarter WOODLAND HILLS, CA. – October 7, 2002 – Atlas Medical Software, a leading provider of clinical connectivity between physicians and laboratories today announced that in the quarter ending September 30, 2002 it added numerous new clients to the customer base for its flagship product, Atlas LabWorks™. Among those added are: Consultants in Laboratory Medicine, Toledo, OH; Legacy Health Systems, Portland, OR; Physicians Medical Labs, Morristown, TN; Triad Laboratory Alliance, Spectrum Laboratories, Greensboro, NC; and Trinity Mother Frances Health System, Tyler, TX. The labs are currently at various stages of implementation. All are expected to be operational on or before January 1, 2003. These clients join more than twenty other reference and hospital laboratories throughout the United States that currently deploy Atlas LabWorks™. “Obviously we’re pleased with the market’s reaction to our product,” says Daniel Meyer, Vice President of Sales for Atlas. “Atlas LabWorks offers a unique combination of power, reliability and flexibility. That track record clearly resonates with prospective customers in today’s market.” Atlas LabWorks™ enables doctors and clinicians to order laboratory tests and view results using a web browser over the Internet, a VPN or a conventional dial-up connection. The system can be deployed as a thick client (with local database) or a thin client (no local database) on a mix and match basis. The thick client workstation can also be deployed as a multi-user local server for larger clients such as clinics and medical buildings with multiple physician practices. Atlas’s efforts have been helped by continued enhancements to an already robust feature set. The company recently launched a touch screen version of the product and has significantly upgraded its LIS and practice management system interfacing capabilities.
